Kaffelogic roast profile by benjaminfleon /PerN

About This Profile

Batch 80-100 grs. Principle is a fast roast and a steep profile similar to logs from the Roest machine. First crack starts early and is well defined. Power is lower at the end of the roast when the beans are exothermic. End temperature is rather low but still normal DTR. Profile developed with beans rehydrated to 16%. \vRecommended level 2.5 (light up to 3.0 (medium light). Start with level 3.5 and then stop at your wanted DTR.\v\vStarted with profile RaostV4 including fan profile. Higher preheat to 1000W to get a good start with harder beans. Works very well with high altitude washed beans. More sensitive beans could benefit from a lower preheat. Zones changed

Roaster's Recommendation

Developed with smaller Grade 2 heirloom washed Ethiopian beans from very high altitudes. Don't use "1-series" for bigger beans because of a risk for fire! With the new chaff collector it's very easy to check the bean movement. T
